As the weather warms up and the sun shines brighter, it's time to spruce up your home and get it ready for the season. But don't worry, we've got you covered with ten easy home maintenance tasks that can be completed in an hour or less!

First things first, keep those pesky mosquitoes at bay by regularly checking your property for standing water and emptying it. Don't forget to store any empty containers upside down or in a shed to prevent them from becoming breeding grounds for these unwanted guests.

Next up, inspect your paths and driveway for cracks caused by the harsh winter weather. Don't let these small issues turn into major headaches - schedule repairs as needed to prevent further damage.

While you're at it, take some time to clean out your trash cans and recycling bins. With a little elbow grease and a stiff-bristle brush, you can easily spritz them with your preferred cleaning spray and rinse them down with a hose.

It's always a good idea to test the batteries on your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and while you're at it, check for recalls on your home safety products. Safety should always be a top priority!

Clear out clutter to create more space in your home, whether that means having a yard sale or donating unloved items to charity. Plus, the less cluttered your home is, the easier it will be to keep clean throughout the season.

Be sure to schedule professional maintenance for your central air conditioning system before the start of summer to keep things running smoothly. And don't forget to spruce up your front porch by cleaning everything from the porch floor to the exterior windows and even the furniture cushions.

If you have a garden, testing and adjusting your sprinklers and irrigation system is a must to prevent drooping plants. And if you're feeling adventurous, consider installing drip irrigation to save time and water.

Let the sunshine in by washing your windows inside and out, including the frames and sills. And finally, take a moment to inspect and clean your window screens and doors to keep out those pesky mosquitoes.

Remember, if you're feeling overwhelmed or simply don't have the time or expertise to tackle these tasks yourself, CSG Advisors can help you find experienced professionals to assist with a variety of home maintenance tasks. Don't let the spring season catch you off guard - take charge of your home's maintenance now and enjoy a worry-free summer!
